Fizzy, juicy, sweet with a spicy ginger kick – this ginger-pineapple lemonade is the perfect late summer-drink to get in the mood for fall.

I don’t know whether you’ve noticed: I am a huge ginger fan! Many people probably associate ginger with the Indian cuisine, but ginger can do much more than simply spice up some curries. Think soups, cookies, cakes … there are so many possibilities! And who would have thought that ginger is great in lemonade as well?!
The Ginger People know what I am talking about and they’ve been doing a wonderful job producing a wide range of high-quality ginger products – for over 30 years! One year ago, I’ve already written a blogpost about the company and their products, so head over there if you are interested.
One Ginger People-product I hadn’t tried until recently, is their award-winning ginger beer “Bottoms Up”. The reason it didn’t really appeal to me is the fact that I don’t drink beer (jep, I live in Bavaria but don’t drink beer!). Maybe I should have checked out the ingredient list earlier, ’cause ginger beer is actually alcohol-free! Ginger beer is much like ginger ale, but I am pretty sure the Ginger People “Bottoms Up” ginger beer has a much stronger ginger flavor. That’s propably because they use unfiltered, fresh ginger juice to make this drink. I love it!
Now let’s come to today’s recipe. This ginger-pineapple lemonade is just perfect right at the end of a warm summer or rather the beginning of fall. This lemonade is so refreshing, fruity, slightly fizzy and has a nice gingery kick. Plus, it’s super easy to make. Stir together all the ingredients, serve with ice cubes and – if you’re feeling fancy – a tiny umbrella.
