- 450 g (1 lb) plums
- 60 ml (¼ cup) orange juice or water
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼–½ tsp ground cardamom
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: 1 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- Pit and chop the plums.
- Add plums, juice/water, and spices to a pot. Bring to a boil.
- Simmer gently for 12–15 minutes, until soft. Adjust spices to taste.
- Serve warm or cold.
- Keep in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 5 days.
