My husband is now officially Team Tempeh. Use a tempeh made from soybeans, which is a bit milder than tempeh made from black beans, for example.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vegan mayo:<\/strong> The creamy base for the Bang Bang sauce. Feel free to use my oil-free mayo made with silken tofu and cashews.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sweet chili sauce:<\/strong> I used a version from the health food store sweetened with agave syrup and pineapple.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sriracha chili sauce:<\/strong> Adds a wonderful heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rice vinegar or lime juice:<\/strong> Just a tiny bit for the vegan Bang Bang sauce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rice:<\/strong> I went for the more fiber-rich whole-grain rice, but you can also use jasmine rice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Edamame:<\/strong> An additional great source of protein. Use frozen edamame beans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Avocado:<\/strong> For creaminess and healthy fats. Make sure it's ripe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Spring onions, cucumber &amp; carrots:<\/strong> For freshness and bite. This gives tempeh a<strong> firmer, chewier texture and a slightly nutty flavor.<\/strong><br>The fermentation process also results in a particularly interesting nutritional profile: Tempeh provides high-quality plant-based <strong>protein, dietary fiber<\/strong>, as well as various <strong>minerals and B vitamins.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"step-by-step-instructions\"   class=\"wp-block-heading\" >Step-By-Step Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let's start prepping! <strong>Cook the rice <\/strong>according to the package instructions. Pour boiling water over the <strong>edamame <\/strong>to thaw them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slice the cucumber and cut the carrots into fine strips or grate them. Cut the spring onions into fine rings, finely chopping the white part. Dice the avocado or cut it into slices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then follow the steps below for the tempeh and sauce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex
