Made from chickpea flour, the vegan egg patty is an amazing base for<\/em> this savory Chickpea Patty Breakfast Sandwich.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n Let's talk breakfast<\/strong>: Savory or sweet? I usually prefer something sweet for breakfast. Depending on the time of year, I might have a green smoothie or smoothie bowl<\/a>, pancakes<\/a>, oatmeal or banana bread<\/a> with PB+J. <\/p>\n\n\n\n From time to time, I also crave savory things in the morning like tofu scramble on bread. Today I have a sandwich recipe<\/strong> for you which you could make for breakfast or whenever you your heart (or stomach) desires a satisfying sandwich with a hearty chickpea patty<\/strong> or vegan \"egg\" patty<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n[feast_advanced_jump_to]\n\n What you top it with is up to you and your preferences. I like fresh and juicy tomato slices, crunchy lettuce, maybe some avocado and\/or vegan \"cheese\" slices and some type of spread. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Vegan mayo and hummus<\/strong> are two wonderful options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also give my Tomato Jam<\/a> a try. It is both savory and sweet and thus adds another layer of flavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you plan on making the sandwich in the future, then get started on my Fermented Vegan Cream Cheese<\/a>. This will add a wonderful tangy touch to your breakfast sandwich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Obviously, you can also simply prepare the eggy chickpea patties (no need to stick with the patty shape - how about a chickpea omelette<\/strong>?) and skip the bread.
